How ImageToolkit uses cookies and browser storage
This page explains what cookies and similar technologies the current ImageToolkit application uses, what it does not use, and how you can control browser storage.
Last updated: September 18, 2026
Summary
No application-created cookies were found in the current ImageToolkit code. Preferences and local statistics use browser localStorage, which is different from cookies. Hosting providers or future third-party services may set their own cookies outside the application code.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They can remember preferences, keep sessions signed in, or support analytics and advertising. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels.
Cookies we set
The inspected application does not create its own cookies for authentication, advertising, or analytics. There is currently no consent-management banner because the app does not rely on non-essential application cookies.
Infrastructure in front of the app (for example a CDN, reverse proxy, or host) may still set technical cookies for security or delivery. Those are controlled by the provider, not by ImageToolkit application code.
Browser local storage
ImageToolkit uses localStorage on your device for preferences and local metrics. Confirmed keys include:
squeeze-theme— selected light or dark theme.squeeze_images_compressed— local compression count statistic.squeeze_compressed_today_dateandsqueeze_compressed_today_count— daily local metrics.squeeze_reduction_sumandsqueeze_reduction_samples— local reduction metrics.
These values stay in your browser and are not sent to the ImageToolkit backend according to the inspected application code.
Analytics and advertising
The current application does not include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, AdSense, advertising scripts, or an application analytics provider. No advertising cookies created by the application were found.
Managing cookies and storage
You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings, or use private/incognito mode. Clearing site data for ImageToolkit will reset theme preference and local tool statistics stored under the keys listed above.
Changes
This policy may be updated if cookie, storage, analytics, or third-party practices change. The date at the top indicates the latest update shown on this page.
